Consistency over intensity
Seven thoughtful minutes each morning can be easier to return to than one exhausting session each week.
A GENTLER START
WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
For years, Kenji saw adults in their fifties, sixties, and beyond being given routines that did not reflect real mornings: demanding stretches, hard floor work, and instructions that felt more punishing than supportive.
His answer was to remove what gets in the way. Each guide begins with calm, easy movement in bed, progresses to a sturdy chair, and only then introduces supported standing options when they feel appropriate.
There is no need to push through pain to start moving well. A little warmth, rhythm, and attention can make the first minutes of the day feel more manageable.
Kenji Sato teaches joint mobility to older adults and has more than 30 years of experience in traditional movement practices: Tai Chi, Qigong and Rajio Taisō. Kenji holds no formal certification or healthcare licence, and the guides are educational, not medical advice.
